Classes

At Avalon Pilates, everyone is welcome and so we offer a variety of Pilates classes to fit your needs and skill levels. If you’re new to Reformer Pilates then we recommend trying a few Fundamental classes first. As well as Reformer Pilates classes, we also offer our signature Tower burn classes which is unique to most other Reformer studios. Scroll down to find class packages, pricing and membership information.

Fundamentals Reformer Pilates

This class is great for beginners as it teaches you the basics of how to use the Reformer with more of a focus on technique. This class has a slower pace than the dynamic Reformer Pilates class but don’t worry you will still get that intense Pilates burn. This class is also recommended for seniors.

Dynamic Reformer Pilates

This class is our standard dynamic intermediate Reformer Pilates class. Expect to be pushed to your limits but also still having fun along the way. We recommend trying a few fundamental classes first so you get to grips with the Reformer machine. This class is will get you stronger, fitter and will be a great kick start to your day.

Tower Burn Pilates

A Tower Burn class is different from Reformer Pilates as it’s a mat connected to a tower unit, using independent springs as opposed to the Reformer which uses a pulley system. This apparatus offers a whole new repertoire of Pilates and if you like mat Pilates, Reformer and barre then this is your kind of class. You don’t find these classes in every Reformer Pilates studio and don’t worry you’re still working with resistance so there is no room to escape! Enjoy that burn!

Intense Reformer Pilates

This is an advanced Reformer Pilates class so it’s Pilates taken up a notch in terms of intensity. Think longer plank holds, stronger springs and a higher heart rate. If you’re feeling energetic and you want a strong and intense Pilates workout then this is for you. Don’t let this scare you off as we always offer modifications and options that suit your level.

Reformer Pilates Jumpboard

The jumpboard is when you have a jumpboard placed at the end of the Reformer. The jumpboard gives you the sensation of jumping & running but you’re often lying down! It’s less pressure and intensity on the joints but still builds up strength and gets in your cardio fix. This is still a Reformer Pilates class, but the jumpboard gives it a different and more intense feel.

Reformer Pilates chill & stretch

This class is focused on stretching, mobility and breath all with the aim of calming you down and stretching you out. This will centre you and allow for a deep connection between mind and body. It may be done on the Reformer as well as on the Tower. This class has a slow and relaxed pace.

Prenatal Reformer Pilates

We welcome women in all trimesters into a safe space where you can get your Pilates fix with care. We will help you with aspects such as pelvic floor, core, mobility and strength. You can come to class up until your due date. If there are any health concerns or complications please check with your doctor before you come to the studio.

Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates

This is a class for new mothers who are keen to get moving again after giving birth, it’s also a great excuse to meet local mums in the area. It’s BYB – bring your baby! For safety reasons your baby needs to be contained in a bassinet or pram. Please make sure you have had your Mummy MOT so you’re cleared for exercise.
